In 2019 we are returning to one of the most beautiful spaces in Lisbon, from your deck chair seat to your right you have a view over the city and the amazing 120 year old Elevador de Santa Justa to the left you have the ruins of the Convento da Ordem do Carmo. Of course right in front of you there is our screen with an amazing movie. The bar of our host TOPO Chiado is well stocked.

Our second event side is located at Hotel Baía Cascais, and what a venue it is! Hopefully the breath-taking view of the Cascais bay and marina doesn't distract you too much from one of our amazing movies! Our Cascais screenings will take place at Blue Bar on the roof terrace of Hotel Baía which is dominant in the heart of Cascais’ Historic Centre, it provides a panoramic view east to Lisbon and west over the village. 

We have worked closely with Hotel Baía to create a night to satisfy and to remember. We are really happy to be able to offer a choice of seats, of course our very popular deck chairs but we also have 6 sofas which you can take all to yourself or for up to 5 people to relax in.

After 6 months and over 50 outdoor rooftop cinema events, our 2019 season has come to an end. 😲⠀ ⠀ We cannot thank all of you enough for the overwhelming interest in Cine Society and our events. It might not be his most well-known performance, but his role as Jay Gatsby is definitely another highlight in the career of Leonardo DiCaprio. The second movie adaption of F. Scott Fitzgerald's novel “The Great Gatsby” tells the story of a writer and wall street trader and his flamboyant, millionaire neighbor. 🤵⠀⠀ ⠀ For the 2013 version of the “The Great Gatsby”, DiCaprio and director Baz Luhrmann teamed-up again 17 years after “Romeo + Juliet”. This Thursday evening, none other than Tom Cruise is taking over control in the action classic “Top Gun”! ✈️ The sublime scenes between the jet fighters are still breathtaking, as well as the awesome soundtrack, and timeless humor and romance. ⠀ ⠀ Like many fans, we cannot wait to watch the long-anticipated sequel. A year ago, the first official trailer of “Top Gun: Maverick” was shown to the public and the release date was set for July 2019. Unfortunately, the movie was delayed by a whole year. It will now debut in cinemas on June 17, 2020. Another beautiful day in sunny Lisbon, and another sold-out CINE SOCIETY event! "Reservoir Dogs" is today's featured movie at the rooftop terrace of TOPO Chiado. ⠀ ⠀ In comparison to his latest movie "Once Upon A Time in Hollywood" (with a production cost of about $90 million), Quentin Tarantino‘s debut feature film "Reservoir Dogs" was made on a very small budget. 💰⠀ ⠀ The movie was filmed in just 35 days, initially with a budget of just $30,000 and one 16mm camera. 🎥 Tarantino planned to make the film with friends but things changed when Harvey Keitel called and asked for a role and a producing credit. Keitel helped to raise the budget to $1.5 million. ⠀ ⠀ Still, with such a small amount of money to produce the movie, several of the actors wore their own clothes including Chris Penn’s bright-colored tracksuit jacket, and both Steve Buscemi and Tim Roth wore their own black jeans instead of suit pants. 🧥⠀ ⠀ Tickets for our 3 last events of

We are now making our cinema set-up fully available for private events, if it is a wedding, a birthday or just for fun with friends in the garden, you can now hire Cine Society and its lovely and very beautiful staff! 

Prices are low and start at €1.500 for a full package.

So if you are a school, a bar, a hotel or a group of friends, feel free to contact us and we will discuss how we can make your event as magical as possible. 

What we bring is our deck chairs, screen, headphones, blankets, fairy lights, as well as well as two of us to keep the event organised and set everything up so you can just focus on having fun. 

We can also supply a bar and food for your event. 

We can also rent our equipment individually. So if you just require our deck chairs, say for a wedding, we got you covered. Or possibly you’d like to host a silent disco or jam session with our wireless headphones, we can do this also.
